The 2005-2006 Program

Our program is for home schoolers, boys and girls, who are members of CHEN or a similar Christian umbrella group. If you love problem solving, LEGOs, and great challenges you'll have a superb time.

Each year First LEGO League sponsors an international robotics competition. Our two TechBrick teams will compete in the state competition and one trial competition.

There are three tracks a for participants. Please review the table below then click here to submit your interest form:

Track Schedule Goals Prerequisites
Regular Club Various Friday's through the year. Click here for the schedule. General education and fun activities. None. If you are 6-16 please join us and enjoy the time. You can view some of last year's activities at the 2004 site. Click here. No associated fees. Just be willing to provide a meeting snack for one of the meetings
TechBrick 1 Tuesday and Thursday through early Nov. Thursdays through Jan and additional practices as required. Click here for the schedule. Full preparation for the challenge. Will attempt to solve the entire challenge, win the state, and proceed to the nationals.

YOU MUST OWN AND HAVE WORKED WITH MINDSTORMS.

Experience working with robotics and LEGO Robotics (Mindstorms). Able to make almost all meetings and practices. Typically 10 years or older.

Note: If you buy Mindstorms now and work with it that is all I need. Just working familiarity with the product's functions. $100 fee per participant to cover materials.

TechBrick 2 Thursdays Sept through January. Click here for the schedule. Preparation for some of the challenges. To be used as a training program for any member of any age. Will compete in trials and state competition as well. If you have an interest in robotics and want to learn the basics, and you can make most of the meetings, we invite you to participate $50 fee per participant to cover materials.
