We had an opportunity to represent the work you have all done to a international audience at the annual National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) conference at the end of February. Attending were some of the highest ranking military leaders, the managers of numerous major manufacturing and engineering companies, and leading academics and researchers.

I was the primary speaker at the luncheon for all attendees on the first full day of the conference. I had 20 minutes to describe the overall offerings of the FIRST programs, provide details on the value of each, share the work and success we've seen in our group and our regional efforts (Maryland), and then challenge the participants to get involved in their regions and countries. Any interested companies will be directed to a contact at FIRST and then forwarded to the appropriate regions or teams.

The presentation benefitted FIRST programs throughout the country.
