Events: Techbrick Robotics FRC 3941 shoots the
first pitch at the Aberdeen Ironbirds' game July

On July, 27, 2012, Techbrick Robotics (http://www.techbrick.com)
and their World Championship FRC 3941 Robot,
TAZER, shot out the first pitches at the
Aberdeen Ironbirds' game (http://www.milb.com/index.jsp?sid=t488)
at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, MD (http://www.ripkenstadium.com).
We calibrated the shooter to fire exactly 60
feet 1", but then the grounds keeper asked us not
to use the pitchers' mound so the 'catcher' had
to backup a few feet. In the end we shot 1
strike and 2 balls. Not bad for a rookie
pitcher. If you have a local MLB farm team near
you ask them if you can do the same. It's great
fun and a great outreach to the community.
