Classroom Activities for the Busy Teacher: EV3 A 10 week curriculum package
for implementing the LEGO Education EV3 Core Set (45544) in your class.
Containing over 20 chapters that follow a planetary exploration storyline, you
will be introducing students to the basics of the EV3 Core Set and gradually
incorporating sensor and useful programming concepts.
All challenges follow a similar structure with an overview project, equipment
needed and Teachers' notes. Example programs as well as tips and tricks are
included to assist the teacher and student worksheets can be either photocopied
or downloaded from the website.
Full building instructions necessary to construct the RileyRover Base design
and all required attachments are also included. In addition to specific Robot
challenges, the book also offers activities based around Robots in Society,

This tutorial for LEGO Mindstorms EV3 is divided in two sections. The
“Essentials” are things every EV3 programmer should know. Some of these movies
have exercises directly under them. It’s important to do these exercises, not
just assume you “get it.”
The “Advanced” section is for reference purposes. When you need one of EV3’s
advanced functions, check it out.
These lessons assume you have a basic robot with two drive motors, a touch
sensor and a light sensor. If you don't have one of those built yet, one good
place to start iare the plans that were invcluded with your kit. Below is an
example.
STEMcentric was created and is lovingly maintained by Dale Yocum. Dale is
the Robotics Program Director at Catlin
Gabel School in Portland Oregon and is also an instructor for the TechStart
Foundation involved in teaching other teachers about topics in STEM
education. Dale has been leading LEGO robotics teams since 2001.

Many of you have used the multimedia tutorial for the NXT over the years at
STEMCentric. Since we just got a pile of 30 EV3s in my lab it seemed like time
for a new generation of tutorials. This is no small undertaking. I'm not done
yet but you'll find the most popular topics up now at www.stemcentric.com. I'll
be adding more advanced ones over the next week or so. Those who have used them
before will find these familiar. They use the same philosophy of assuming the
student knows absolutely nothing and takes them through the Essentials in a
couple of hours including exercises. I'm having problems getting the movies to
autoplay so be patient on that. I'm going to concentrate on getting the content
up first. If you find other glaring errors, drop me a line.

We are Team Fluorescent Flying Penguins (#6626)! We are a team of Middle
School students in Northern California who have all been in FLL since 4th grade,
and we would like to share back with the FLL Community.
We are making EV3 programming tutorial videos on our YouTube channel. . If
you have a question about EV3 programming, please ask us and we will try to make
